TRUST 3: Did you see the broken glass?

Just when I posted about Trust yesterday, earlier today God thought me another thing about trusting Him.

He revealed to me that when trusting Him doesn't stop at what He can do, but also His heart.

That all He does in our lives, or lets happen, is out of His love to us. If He knows something will kill us, He wouldn't just let it happen!

A good parent lets us go through the needed hardship in life to make us a better person. Parents who protects their child from everything is doing more harm than good. Therefore, if we are going through something right now, trust God who sees the end from the beginning, that it will be for our good!

And while going through it, He has graced us with the power to overcome it. Our status are (present tense) more than conquerors after all. We are already winners!! And in everything at all time, He will never leave us.

I've came across lots of illustrations picturing this.

When a baby learns to walk, she needs to be let go. If the parent keeps carrying her all the time to prevent her from going through the 'hardship' of learning to walk, she'll never walk!

But while learning, the parent will always keep an eye on her. When she stumbled and is hurt, they are there. If the babies are heading towards a sharp edged table, they would direct their babies to walk another direction. While the babies might think that they (or to us, God), is interfering, what they do not see is the possible bloddied head of theirs after kena hit by the table.

And a parent wouldn't teach their babies to walk say, in a hurricane on a cliff with hyenas waiting below it. She won't need wait long to meet her sad tragic death.

EVEN IF say, the parents are some crazy ninja and they wanted to train their babies to become one of the best ninjas around, and therefore their babies need to learn to walk on extreme conditions such as mentioned above, I'm sure they will take whatever crazy measures to make sure that their babies wouldn't topple and die.

God knows our limits. His eyes are upon you 24/7. He's a good God. You are the object of all the stock of His love! If you are struggling in your journey towards being able to walk, He's watching.

He won't keep quiet seeing you about to step on a broken glass. He won't let you step on any broken cable and be electrified to death. He rolls up the cable, keep it in a cabinet safe from your reach. If there is a black widow about to sting you, He'll smack it to death, wipe the mess away with a tissue and throw it away for you. You are His baby!

We always expect God to pick us out from the troubled situation we are in. What we do not see is what He has protected us from. We do not see the black widows, the broken cables and glasses, the sharp edges.. And a few topples along our protected journey, we are already crying and complaining.

Trust His love for you. The decisions He makes are out of His love for you. Trust His warm watchful eyes, gazing upon you.

He loves you!

Happy Wednesday!
